The first thing to do after purchasing contact lenses is to make sure they are your size. Most probably, you'd go back to the shop where you bought it or your eye doctor so the lenses can fit on to your eyes. You can have a similar situation with your teeth, especially upon getting a Haddon Township dental crown. Haddon Township dentist Fotolia_3075647_XS.jpg

We have follow-up consultations a few months after you get your Haddon Township dental crown. This way we can attend to any matter that crops up.

Problems could take the form of numbness in the area. Your tooth may also feel overly sensitive. The moment you feel any of this, don't hesitate to get in touch with us. You don't want to neglect it. I would give you prompt relief as the problem may get worse.

If you feel tingling and numbness, it might be because of what happened to your real tooth during the procedure. That was when we scraped away the outer or inner layer of your tooth. Your gums might also still be adjusting, after withstanding plenty of vibrations, stress and pressure while we worked on your crown.

Or, it is possible that the dental crown, particularly the bottom part, has difficulties with the tooth it is attached to. Quite simply, we haven't got a fit.

Sometimes, it could be because of the lack of cement. If this is the case, then your Haddon Township dental crown has come loose from the dentine, or your tooth's inner layer. Your dentine will have no protection whenever you drink a steaming cup of tea or ice water. We all shudder whenever we get that cringing sensation. Like Quint in the movie Jaws, when he screeches the blackboard with his nails.

Finally, the issue may have something to do with the nerve root. This probably happened while prepping the tooth for the attachment of a Haddon Township dental crown. These problems are fairly widespread because of the poor condition of the teeth at the start. They have already been damaged — a great deal.

When I see this, I recommend doing a root canal to remove the nerve root and put back the crown.
